About Cannabis for Thailand
We are an independent editorial team based in Bangkok. We research, verify, and publish information about medical cannabis, CBD, and legal access in Thailand. We have no affiliation with any clinic, dispensary, or cannabis brand — our funding comes from advertising, not from the businesses we cover.
Our readers include Thai patients seeking legal medical cannabis, tourists trying to understand what the 2025 re-regulation actually means, expats managing chronic conditions, and entrepreneurs navigating business licensing.
Why This Site Exists
Thailand decriminalized cannabis in June 2022, creating thousands of dispensaries almost overnight. Then the Ministry of Public Health re-regulated the market in 2025, shutting down most recreational access and leaving a patchwork of ministerial orders that even lawyers struggle to interpret.
The result: most cannabis information online is either outdated (written during the 2022-2024 open period), commercially biased (published by clinics selling their own services), or factually wrong. We built Cannabis for Thailand to fix that.

How We Work
Every article follows the same process:
- Research — We start with primary sources: Royal Gazette announcements, Ministry of Public Health declarations, FDA Thailand data, and peer-reviewed medical literature
- Draft — We write from the research, structured so readers can find the specific information they need
- Medical review — A licensed Thai medicine practitioner reviews all health-related content for clinical accuracy
- Legal verification — Legal claims are cross-referenced against the original regulatory text in Thai
- Ongoing updates — We track regulatory changes daily and update affected pages within 48 hours

Independence
We do not accept payment for editorial coverage. Clinic and dispensary listings are based on FDA Thailand licensing data — not advertising spend. When we recommend a specific clinic or product, that recommendation reflects our editorial judgment, not a business relationship.
