Koh Chang Weed & Cannabis Shops 2026 — White Sand Beach, Kai Bae & PT 33 Rules

Koh Chang, in Trat province near the Cambodian border, has 22 cannabis shops in our directory, drawn from public map data. They run along the west coast road from White Sand Beach down to Kai Bae and Lonely Beach. The law is the same as on the mainland. Since 26 June 2025 cannabis flower has been a “controlled herb” under the Thai Traditional Medicine Act, and shops may sell it only against a PT 33 prescription from an authorised practitioner.

We do not list a cannabis clinic on the island. Being in our directory does not mean a shop is licensed, and a compliant shop will ask for your prescription.

How buying cannabis on Koh Chang works

1. Consult an authorised practitioner before you need to buy. The nearest clinic in our listings is Trat Hospital on Sukhumvit Road in Trat town, on the mainland.
2. Get the PT 33 if they prescribe. It sets product, dose and duration, is valid for up to 30 days and needs your passport.
3. Buy within it. Licensed outlets can sell up to 30 days’ supply and must have DTAM-trained staff on site during opening hours.

Rules for visitors on Koh Chang

• Public smoking that bothers others can be fined up to 25,000 THB, with up to 3 months in prison, under the Public Health Act 1992.
• Selling without a prescription is a separate offence: up to 20,000 THB and up to a year in prison for the seller under the Traditional Medicine Act. See the penalties guide.

• Cambodia is close. Do not carry cannabis across the border at Hat Lek or anywhere else.
