10 Dispensaries
Koh Phi Phi

Koh Phi Phi is Thailand’s most photographed island and one of the Andaman Sea’s biggest draws. Made world-famous by the 2000 film “The Beach” starring Leonardo DiCaprio, this small archipelago in Krabi province pulls in visitors year-round with its dramatic limestone cliffs, turquoise water, and Maya Bay. The main inhabited island — Koh Phi Phi Don — has a permanent population of roughly 2,500, though that number swells dramatically during high season as backpackers, divers, and day-trippers flood in.

Despite its tiny size and lack of roads, Koh Phi Phi has developed a solid cannabis scene. The island currently has 10 dispensaries, 0 clinics, and 0 farms as of March 2026, totaling 10 cannabis-related listings. Nearly all are clustered in Tonsai Village, the island’s main settlement wedged between two bays. The scene here leans social — most shops double as hangout spots where travelers swap stories and watch the sunset with a joint in hand.

The June 2025 Cannabis Act brought the PT 33 prescription requirement to Koh Phi Phi along with the rest of Thailand. With no clinic on the island itself, visitors need to secure their prescription before arriving, typically in Krabi Town, Phuket, or Koh Lanta.

Why Koh Phi Phi for Cannabis

  • Walkable concentration — All 10 dispensaries are within walking distance of each other in Tonsai Village. No motorbike needed, no taxis — just follow the alleyways.
  • Social atmosphere — Phi Phi’s legendary party and backpacker culture means dispensaries are built for hanging out, not just buying and leaving. Several shops have lounge areas and social club vibes.
  • Scenic consumption — Few places in the world let you enjoy cannabis with views of limestone karsts rising from turquoise water. The Viewpoint hike and Long Beach are standout spots.
  • Island-hopping hub — Phi Phi sits on the main ferry route between Phuket and Krabi, making it an easy stop on any southern Thailand itinerary.
  • Competitive pricing — With 10 shops on a small island, competition keeps prices reasonable for a tourist destination.

Best Cannabis Dispensaries in Koh Phi Phi

Koh Phi Phi’s dispensary scene is concentrated and competitive. Here are the top shops ranked by review volume and rating.

Highest-Rated Dispensaries

High Season Wellness Cannabis Dispensary, Koh Phi Phi is the island’s most-reviewed cannabis shop by a wide margin, with 497 Google reviews and a 4.9-star rating. The name is apt — this dispensary has established itself as the go-to for quality flower and knowledgeable service. If you only visit one shop on Phi Phi, this is the safe bet.

ANDAMAN GENETICS - CANNABIS DISPENSARY & SOCIAL CLUB PHI PHI is the island’s second-most popular shop with 361 reviews and a 4.9-star rating. Operating as both a dispensary and social club, Andaman Genetics offers a community atmosphere alongside its product selection. The brand has built a dedicated following on the island.

Thai Cannabis Club - Koh Phi Phi, Krabi brings the reliability of a national chain to the island, carrying a 4.9-star rating from 276 reviews. Part of the Thai Cannabis Club network that operates locations in Bangkok, Koh Chang, and other destinations, the Phi Phi branch offers consistency that independent shops sometimes lack.

Weedology Cannabis Culture Phi Phi 1 holds a 4.9-star rating from 134 reviews and is part of another multi-location brand with shops across the Andaman coast.

Phiphi cannabis3 maintains a perfect 5.0-star rating from 54 reviews, offering a solid local option in the heart of Tonsai Village.

Phi Phi Cannabis rounds out the established shops with a 4.9-star rating from 47 reviews.

Chain Operations

Two national cannabis brands have established outposts on Koh Phi Phi, offering the consistency that comes with multi-location operations:

  • Thai Cannabis ClubThai Cannabis Club - Koh Phi Phi, Krabi (4.9 stars, 276 reviews) is part of a chain with locations in Bangkok (Khaosan, Cowboy, Nana, Soi 7), Koh Chang, and other destinations across Thailand. Known for standardized quality and professional service.
  • Weedology Cannabis Culture — Operates two locations on Phi Phi: Weedology Cannabis Culture Phi Phi 1 (4.9 stars, 134 reviews) and Weedology Cannabis Culture Phi Phi 2 (5.0 stars, 11 reviews). The brand also has shops on Koh Lanta and in Ao Nang, making it one of the Andaman coast’s most established cannabis chains.

Budget Options

Koh Phi Phi carries an island premium on everything, and cannabis is no exception. That said, 10 dispensaries competing for the same pool of visitors creates downward pressure on prices. Smaller shops like Goodhighthailand Cannabis Weed Koh Phi phi, Secret cannabis, and The Syndicate Bud tend to offer more competitive pricing than the big-name operations. Ask about happy-hour deals or bulk discounts, as several shops run promotions during quieter afternoon hours. Competition is fiercest along the main alley between the pier and Loh Dalum Beach — walk the strip and compare before committing.

Area Breakdown

Koh Phi Phi Don is small enough to walk end to end in under 30 minutes. There are no cars, no motorbikes (mostly), and no proper roads. The entire cannabis scene plays out within a few hundred meters:

  • Tonsai Village (Main Pier Area) — This is where the ferry drops you off and where the vast majority of island life happens. All 10 dispensaries are located in or immediately around Tonsai Village. The main walking streets, alleyways, and market areas between Tonsai Bay and Loh Dalum Bay contain every cannabis shop on the island. This is your one-stop zone.
  • Loh Dalum Beach Side — The north-facing beach on the other side of the narrow isthmus from the pier. The alleyways connecting Tonsai to Loh Dalum pass several dispensaries. This side is the party hub at night, with fire shows and beach bars. Several dispensaries along this route benefit from the evening foot traffic.
  • Viewpoint Area — The famous Phi Phi Viewpoint is a steep hike above Tonsai Village offering panoramic views of both bays. There are no dispensaries up here, but it is one of the island’s most popular spots to enjoy cannabis purchased in the village below. The sunset views are extraordinary.
  • Long Beach (Hat Yao) — A quieter beach accessible by longtail boat or a steep trail from Tonsai. No dispensaries here. Purchase in Tonsai before heading over.
  • Loh Moo Dee and Eastern Bays — Remote beaches reached by longtail boat. No cannabis infrastructure. Bring what you need from Tonsai.

Cannabis Farms in Koh Phi Phi

There are no cannabis farms on Koh Phi Phi. The island is too small, too rocky, and too densely built in its habitable areas to support cultivation. All cannabis sold on the island is sourced from mainland growers, primarily in Krabi province and other parts of southern Thailand. If you want to see a cannabis farm in the region, Hemp Zone Thailand Farm & Shop on neighboring Koh Lanta is the closest option.

Getting a PT 33 Prescription

Koh Phi Phi has no medical cannabis clinics. This is the most important thing to plan for before visiting.

Under the June 2025 Cannabis Act, a valid PT 33 prescription is required to purchase cannabis from any licensed dispensary in Thailand. Since the island has no clinic, you need to get your prescription before arriving:

  • Krabi Town or Ao Nang — The most practical option if taking the ferry from Krabi. Visit a cannabis clinic on the mainland before boarding the boat. Multiple clinics operate in both areas.
  • Phuket — If arriving from Phuket, get your PT 33 at one of Phuket’s many clinics before catching the ferry from Rassada Pier.
  • Koh LantaCloud 420 Medical Cannabis Clinic on Koh Lanta (5.0 stars, 121 reviews) is an excellent option if you are island-hopping and hitting Lanta before Phi Phi.
  • Telehealth — Some dispensaries on Phi Phi may be able to arrange remote consultations with licensed physicians. Ask when you arrive, but do not count on this as your primary plan.

Your PT 33 is valid nationwide. Get it at any clinic in Thailand and it works on Koh Phi Phi.

Koh Phi Phi Cannabis Prices (March 2026)

GradePrice Range (THB/gram)Notes
Budget150–200Basic strains at smaller shops
Mid-range200–400Quality hybrids and popular strains
Premium400–650Top-shelf imports and exotic strains

Koh Phi Phi prices carry a noticeable island markup compared to mainland destinations like Krabi Town or Bangkok. Everything on the island costs more because everything arrives by boat. Expect to pay 20-30% more than equivalent product on the mainland. The upside is that competition among 10 dispensaries on a tiny island keeps markups from getting out of hand.

How to Get to Koh Phi Phi

  • Ferry from Krabi — Ferries depart from Krabi’s Klong Jilad Pier to Tonsai Pier on Phi Phi. The journey takes approximately 1.5–2 hours. Multiple daily departures during high season (November–April); reduced service during low season. Tickets cost 350–450 THB one-way.
  • Ferry from Phuket — Ferries leave from Rassada Pier in Phuket Town. The crossing takes approximately 2 hours. Several companies operate daily services. Tickets cost 400–600 THB one-way.
  • Speedboat — Faster speedboat services from both Krabi and Phuket cut travel time to roughly 45 minutes–1 hour at a higher price point (800–1,500 THB).
  • From Koh Lanta — Direct ferries connect Koh Lanta and Koh Phi Phi in about 1 hour during high season. This is a popular island-hopping route.
  • Day trip boats — Many visitors arrive on day trip packages from Krabi or Phuket. If you plan to buy cannabis, note that day trips leave limited time — an overnight stay gives you time to browse dispensaries properly.

There is no airport on Koh Phi Phi. The nearest airports are Krabi International Airport (KBV) and Phuket International Airport (HKT).

What to Know Before You Visit

  • No cars, no motorbikes — Koh Phi Phi Don has no roads and virtually no motorized vehicles. You walk everywhere. This makes the dispensary scene very accessible — everything is within a 10-minute walk in Tonsai Village.
  • Party island reputation — Phi Phi is famous for its nightlife, especially the fire shows and beach parties on Loh Dalum. The cannabis scene blends into this culture, but remember that public intoxication can draw attention. Use common sense.
  • Weather matters — High season runs November through April with clear skies and calm seas. Low season (May–October) brings rain and rough water. Some dispensaries may reduce hours during low season when tourist numbers drop.
  • Carry cash — While some dispensaries accept card payments, ATMs on Phi Phi charge steep fees (220 THB per withdrawal is common) and occasionally run out of cash during peak periods. Bring enough Thai baht from the mainland.
  • Accommodation books fast — Phi Phi has limited accommodation relative to visitor demand. Book ahead during high season, especially around Christmas, New Year, and Songkran. Dispensary-hopping is more enjoyable when you are not stressed about finding a bed.
  • Respect Maya Bay rules — Maya Bay (on Koh Phi Phi Leh) has strict environmental protections including visitor caps and closing times. Do not bring cannabis to Maya Bay or any national park areas.
  • Your PT 33 is essential — This cannot be overstated: there is no clinic on the island. Arrive with your PT 33 prescription already in hand or you will not be able to make legal purchases.
  • Island-hopping tip — If you are continuing to smaller islands like Koh Ngai, Koh Mook, or the Trang islands, stock up on Phi Phi. Cannabis options get extremely limited as you move further off the beaten path.
