Sukhothai Weed & Cannabis Shops 2026 — Old City, New Town & PT 33 Rules

Sukhothai, the “Dawn of Happiness”, was the first capital of the Thai kingdom, founded in 1238. Today it is a quiet province in the lower north of Thailand, best known for the Sukhothai Historical Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1991. The park’s laterite and stucco ruins spread across 70 square kilometres, drawing history enthusiasts and cyclists who explore the temples at a slow pace that matches the city’s unhurried rhythm.

As of March 2026, Sukhothai province has 8 cannabis dispensaries, totaling 8 cannabis businesses. There are currently no dedicated cannabis clinics or cannabis farms in the province. The cannabis scene here is modest and dispersed, two shops sit near the Old City ruins, two serve Si Satchanalai in the north, two cover Kong Krailat in the east, and the remaining shops are in Khiri Mat and Thung Saliam districts.

How buying cannabis in Sukhothai works now

Since 26 June 2025 cannabis flower has been a “controlled herb” under the Thai Traditional Medicine Act. A shop may sell it only to someone holding a PT 33 prescription from an authorised practitioner (a doctor, a Thai traditional medicine practitioner or another prescriber certified by the Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine). The prescription is valid for up to 30 days, a licensed outlet can sell up to a 30-day supply, and since January 2026 it must keep a DTAM-trained staff member on site whenever it is open.

Very good cannabis holds 18 reviews at 4.9 stars and operates from Khiri Mat district, south of the city center. Weekday hours run 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with extended weekend hours from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM, the latest closing time in the province for a rated shop.

สุขเสมอ 420 Happy Only! Cannabis Shop has a perfect 5.0-star rating from 7 reviews and sits in Mueang Kao alongside WEED SHOP, giving Old City visitors a second option within walking distance of the ruins. Open daily 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

ร้านกัญชา Sukho High Shop also holds a perfect 5.0-star rating, from 11 reviews. It is located in Hat Siao, Si Satchanalai district, about 55 km north of Sukhothai Old City. Closed on Tuesdays; otherwise open 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

ร้านกัญชา FEASTO OG KUSH rounds out the rated shops with 4.5 stars from 11 reviews, also in Si Satchanalai. It offers delivery and keeps long hours from 7:00 AM to 11:30 PM daily.

More Dispensaries Across the Province

Odd Odd Cannabis สาขากงไกรลาศ serves Kong Krailat district in central Sukhothai province, open daily 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. It is a branch operation extending cannabis access into an area with limited options.

Ganja Fresh กัญชาเฟรช is also in Kong Krailat, notable for its early-morning hours, weekdays from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, weekends from 7:00 AM. This schedule suits the local agricultural community rather than tourists.

ร้านกัญชาทุ่งเสลี่ยม แคนนาบิส in Thung Saliam is the only 24-hour dispensary in Sukhothai province and one of the few offering delivery. It serves a remote rural area where other options are scarce.

Chain Operations

Odd Odd Cannabis operates as a branch (สาขากงไกรลาศ), indicating it is part of a multi-location operation. No other chain dispensaries are currently present in Sukhothai province. The remaining seven shops are independent operations.

Areas for Cannabis in Sukhothai

Old City (Sukhothai Historical Park Area)

The Old City, Mueang Kao, is where most visitors spend their time. The Sukhothai Historical Park, with its iconic Wat Mahathat, Wat Si Chum, and Wat Sa Si, is the main attraction. Two dispensaries operate here: WEED SHOP and 420 Happy Only!, both located along the road near the historical park entrance. This is the most convenient area for tourists, with bicycle rental shops, guesthouses, and restaurants all within reach. The Old City is about 12 km west of New Sukhothai.

New City (Mueang Sukhothai)

New Sukhothai is the modern commercial center where the bus station, banks, markets, and most accommodation are located. There are no dispensaries in New City proper as of March 2026. Visitors staying in New Sukhothai will need to make the 12 km trip to the Old City or venture to the outer districts for cannabis access.

Si Satchanalai (Northern District)

About 55 km north of the Old City, Si Satchanalai has its own UNESCO-listed historical park, smaller and quieter than Sukhothai’s but equally impressive. Two dispensaries serve this area: Sukho High Shop with its perfect 5.0-star rating and FEASTO OG KUSH with delivery service. If you are combining both historical parks in one trip, note that Sukho High Shop is closed on Tuesdays.

Kong Krailat (Central Province)

Kong Krailat, roughly 30 km east of the Old City, is a largely agricultural district with two dispensaries: Odd Odd Cannabis and Ganja Fresh. These shops cater to local residents rather than tourists, and Ganja Fresh opens as early as 6:30 AM to match the farming schedule.

Outer Districts (Thung Saliam, Khiri Mat)

The more remote districts of Sukhothai province each have a single dispensary. ร้านกัญชาทุ่งเสลี่ยม แคนนาบิส provides 24-hour service with delivery in Thung Saliam, while Very good cannabis operates in Khiri Mat with its 4.9-star rating and weekend extended hours.

Cannabis Farms in Sukhothai

There are currently no cannabis farms in Sukhothai province. All dispensaries source their product from growers elsewhere. The nearest farm experiences can be found in Chiang Mai and other northern provinces with established cultivation operations.

Rules for visitors in Sukhothai

• Public smoking that creates a smoke or smell nuisance can be fined up to 25,000 THB, with up to 3 months in prison, under the Public Health Act 1992.
• Selling without a prescription is a separate offence under a different law: up to 20,000 THB and up to a year in prison for the seller under the Traditional Medicine Act. Our penalties guide sets out both.
