Pattaya Weed & Cannabis Shops 2026 — Soi Buakhao, Nong Prue, Pratumnak & PT 33 Rules

Pattaya has one of the densest cannabis shop scenes outside Bangkok, spread from Beach Road inland to Nong Prue. Buying, though, works differently since 26 June 2025. Cannabis flower is now a “controlled herb” under the Thai Traditional Medicine Act, and a shop may only sell it to someone with a PT 33 prescription from an authorised practitioner. Visitors are not exempt.

Our directory lists 32 cannabis shops in and around Pattaya, one clinic and four farms, based on public map data. Being listed does not mean a shop is licensed. Expect a compliant shop to check your prescription before it sells.

How buying cannabis in Pattaya works now

1. See an authorised practitioner. Doctors, Thai traditional medicine practitioners and the other prescriber types certified by the Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine (DTAM) can assess you and decide whether cannabis is appropriate.
2. Get the PT 33. It sets the product, dose and duration and is valid for up to 30 days. Foreign visitors show a passport.
3. Buy within it. Licensed outlets can sell up to a 30-day supply, and since January 2026 must keep a DTAM-trained staff member on site whenever they are open.

Rules for visitors in Pattaya

• Public smoking is its own offence. Smoke or smell that becomes a public nuisance can be fined up to 25,000 THB, with up to 3 months in prison, under the Public Health Act 1992. That covers Beach Road, Walking Street and the beach itself.
• Selling without a prescription is a different penalty. The seller faces up to 20,000 THB and up to a year in prison under the Traditional Medicine Act. The penalties guide keeps the two apart.

Yes, but only with a valid PT 33 prescription from an authorised practitioner. Tourists can consult at a clinic such as Origene Clinic Pattaya using a passport. Without a prescription, buying flower is not legal.
