Krabi Weed & Cannabis Shops 2026 — Ao Nang, Koh Lanta, Phi Phi & Prescription Rules

Most of Krabi province’s cannabis shops are not in Krabi Town. They are on the islands: Koh Lanta and Koh Phi Phi each have their own page on this site, with far more listings than the mainland. This page covers Ao Nang and Krabi Town, and points you to the right island page.

Wherever you are in the province, the rule is the same. Since 26 June 2025 cannabis flower has been a “controlled herb” under the Thai Traditional Medicine Act, and a shop may sell it only to someone with a PT 33 prescription from an authorised practitioner.

Cannabis shops in Ao Nang and Krabi Town

Our current mainland listings, from public map data, are few:

• Green Zone 420 on Aonang Road, Ao Nang.
• Phi Phi Island Weed Shop, which is actually in Tonsai Village on Koh Phi Phi but files its address under Ao Nang.

A listing does not prove a licence. A shop that follows the law will ask to see your prescription.

Getting a PT 33 prescription in Krabi province

1. Consult an authorised practitioner. In our listings the nearest is Cloud 420 Medical Cannabis Clinic on Koh Lanta Yai. Call first to check a certified prescriber is working.
2. Receive the PT 33 if the practitioner prescribes. It is valid for up to 30 days and needs your passport.
3. Buy only within it. Licensed outlets can sell up to 30 days’ supply and must have DTAM-trained staff on site whenever they are open.

Rules for visitors in Krabi

• Public smoking that bothers others can be fined up to 25,000 THB, with up to 3 months in prison, under the Public Health Act 1992. Ao Nang beach and Railay are public places.
• Selling without a prescription is a separate offence: up to 20,000 THB and up to a year in prison for the seller under the Traditional Medicine Act. See the penalties guide.
